Valduero Gran Reserva is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero made from 100% Tinto Fino grapes from vineyards over 30 years old situated between 820 and 888 metres above sea level. This wine is only produced as an outstanding vintage and with very limited production never exceeding more than 10,000 bottles.
40 months in bottle and 48 months in French and American oak barrels.
Deep maroon red, with light tile red edges.
Intense and complex aromas. Its deep notes of ripe black and red fruit are mixed with the smoky aromas and the hints of coffee, chocolate and leather with a touch of undergrowth.
Elegant and powerful wine with great intensity, which increases as it passes through the mouth. It has a wide and powerful attack and a velvety, tasty, fresh and dry mid palate.
Well bodied wine with high quality integrated tannins, which still need some time to finish polishing. Excellent acidity and a very long and persistent finish.
It is recommended serving this wine at between 18 and 19ºC and decanting it before serving.
